Objectives:

By the end of this session you should be able to:

  1. Name three or four countries (not in North America) where distance learning is being used and describe the nature of the use and the learners being served;
  2. Describe the adaptations of distance learning "models" used in North America and Europe to developing nations;
  3. State the educational "problems" being solved by the use of distance learning; and
  4. State reasons to justify the use of distance education in countries other than your own.
